Topic: THE LOVE CODE (Part 11)
Text: “Refuse to be a critic full of bias towards others, and you will not be judged.” – Matthew 7:1, TPT.
In today’s episode, we continue discussing our attitudes toward other believers.
Consider the counsel in God’s word in Colossians 3:13, TPT. It says, “Tolerate the weaknesses of those in the family of faith, forgiving one another in the same way you have been graciously forgiven by Jesus Christ. If you find fault with someone, release this same gift of forgiveness to them.”
Furthermore, scripture admonishes us in Colossians 4:6, ICB,” When you talk, you should always be kind and wise. Then you will be able to answer everyone in the way you should.“
Now, consider what the Apostle Paul said to his son Timothy. He said in 1 Timothy 1:13 ICB, “In the past, I spoke against Christ and persecuted him and did all kinds of things to hurt him. But God showed mercy to me because I did not know what I was doing. I did those things when I did not believe.”
Apostle Paul became a great gospel messenger because God showed him mercy rather than condemnation. Imagine what a treasure would have been lost if Apostle Paul had been condemned and forced back into the world.
Dear friend, we must be intentional and careful not to condemn or conclude on anyone for whatever reason. Our words must build, not destroy; our Love must bring more people to the kingdom rather than deplete it; and our lives must inspire others to come and remain with the Lord.
TODAY’S TASK
Is there someone you’ve concluded cannot repent or improve? Please intercede for them today.
WISDOM PUSH
Though our feelings change and words fail, God’s Love does not.
TODAY’S DECLARATION
Lord Jesus, from today, help me to see and relate with unbelievers with such Love that will make Jesus real to them.
