Topic: THE LOVE CODE (Part 2)

Text: “Be kind and loving to each other. Forgiving each other just as God forgave you in Christ.” – Ephesians 4:32, ICB.

In today’s world, with betrayals, jealousy, fights, slander, unhealthy competition, and so much more, it doesn’t seem easy to walk in Love. This is why we need to continue hearing teachings like this, which remind us that we must always have the mind of Christ.

Dear friend, you must understand that struggling to walk in love results in a struggle to walk with God. When we refuse to walk in Love with others, we will struggle to obey God in many other ways.

Every human being is born with the tendency to think and act selfishly, but the agape love of God is deposited in our hearts when we are born again. The agape love is the God-kind of Love; it is of God and from God.

Agape love is who God is, what He shows, and what He gives through His Spirit working in the hearts of believers. Agape love is the quality of mind and heart that compels a Christian never to be bitter or desire vengeance but always to seek the highest good for all people, regardless of who they are.

The Love of God that flows through us is the opposite of what the world can give. This type of Love is selfless, suffering discomfort and inconvenience for the sake of others without expecting anything in return. This is the kind of Love we are to manifest. This is the testimony of our yielding to the leadership of the Spirit. 

Never forget that walking in Love is not foolishness. You are not foolish for making repeated sacrifices for others, and you should never believe you are being taken advantage of. Your reward is certain.

Is there someone who was unappreciative of something you did for them, and you’ve pledged never to help them again? Repent of that decision today.

Love for God is fake if there is determined hatred towards anyone. God’s Love forbids hatred.
