Topic: THE LOVE CODE (Part 3)

Text: “Dear friends, we should love each other because Love comes from God. The person who loves has become God’s child and knows God.” – 1 John 4:7, ICB.

No Christian is permitted to make enemies or label anyone as an enemy. It is ungodly to make someone your enemy. However, some people have declared you an enemy, and you have no control over this.

As Christians, there is a way God expects us to interact with and treat those who have turned us into enemies. You are not to wish them evil; instead, you are to be kind to them, to deal with them wisely as the Spirit leads you, and to pray for God’s Love to capture their hearts.

To the carnally minded, wishing evil on those who do not wish us well is acceptable and understandable. But you must understand that as long as you are in Christ, no weapon formed against you will prosper, and no evil plan orchestrated against you will be fulfilled. 

This is your reality in God; your life will never be at the mercy of those who have declared themselves your enemies, and God will never consult them on what He wants to do in your life.

So, you can’t live as if they are a factor. Instead, see these as opportunities to demonstrate God’s Love. Nothing should ever make you accommodate hatred in your heart.

Dear friend, God’s Love and hatred cannot coexist in our hearts; one must give way to the other. We are saved and commanded to walk in Love with everybody.

Do you know anyone who has declared themselves your enemy? Pray for them today. Ask the Lord to capture their hearts.
