Topic: THE LOVE CODE (Part 4)

Text: Hatred stirs up trouble. But Love forgives all wrongs.” – Proverbs 10:12, ICB.

Every day, we interact with people with opposing beliefs, selfish desires, evil motives, and so on. The truth is that we will always be presented with opportunities to live in offence.

According to God’s word, offences are unavoidable, but it also says, “Woe to him through whom it comes.” (Luke 17:1). We may be offended by others, but how we respond matters. This is why we need God’s wisdom when dealing with an offence.

In general, offence refers to being annoyed or hurt by something or someone’s actions or words.

When offence takes root in our hearts, it becomes a weapon for the enemy, manipulating us to do his bidding. This will allow for the expression of anger, bitterness, resentment, strife, rebellion, and many other unhealthy emotions.

Some people with great potential and destinies have missed out because they allowed offences to control their decisions, responses and actions at crucial points in their lives. 

People have walked away from their churches, helpers, and excellent opportunities because offence blinded them.

I pray that offence will not take root in your heart from today in Jesus’ name.

Remind yourself today that God has instructed that there is no one who is not worthy of forgiveness. Yes, no one.

Do not procrastinate in expressing kindness and Love to others. Act on it. Do it now.

TODAY’S DECLARATION

In the name of Jesus, I declare that past hurtful experiences do not influence how I show Love to others. By God’s grace, I walk in God’s healing over every hurtful experience in Jesus’ name.
