Topic: THE MIND OF LEADERSHIP (Part 11)

Text: “And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right…” – Galatians 6:9, AMPC.

There are several virtues that distinguish certain leaders from the rest. One of these values is a culture of consistency. Leadership consistency implies dependability, positively predictable behaviour, and trustworthiness.

Drawing lessons from the leadership example of Jesus, we observe he was consistent. He was consistent with his words, his care, and his promises.

This virtue is essential for impactful and effective leadership if you are a leader or aspire to be one. If a leader is inconsistent, it affects how people work with them and with others in the organisation, affecting the organisation’s future.

When a leader is inconsistent, people are uncertain about the future and don’t know what to expect.

One of the many reasons why Jesus’s model of leadership is worth learning and adopting is because he was a reflection of a consistent leader. The disciples could continue with his message because it was consistent.

If you are a consistent leader, those you serve will continue to believe in your message and values.

Examine yourself to see if you are consistent in your words, actions, and service.

Power will be abused and misused by a leader who does not understand the purpose of power and lacks a servant’s heart.

In the name of Jesus, today, I receive grace to be consistent in doing the right things.
