Today’s Word: The old and the new (Part 14)

Bible Reference: 1 Kings 13:11-30

One of the remarkable lessons we must not ignore from our Bible passage is found in verse 26. The old prophet expressed his confidence that the young prophet was a true man of God; he said this after the young prophet’s death. He misled and pressured him to go against God.

After news came to him that the young prophet had been attacked and killed by a lion, the old prophet said, “This is the man who did not obey the Lord’s command…”

Dear friend, refuse to bow to any pressure to dishonour God. The people who may be pressurizing you to do wrong, they know you love God in a way they don’t. But they feel their suggestions and strategies are better than God’s way. Their counsel and proposal to you will make you lose your authentic testimony, and they will mock you in the end. Stay with God. Stick with Him. It pays.

Today’s Prophetic Declaration:

I declare that I enjoy consistency in my walk with God.
