Today’s Word: The Old and the New (Part 15)

Bible reference: 1 Kings 13:11-30

 

The more we explore our bible passage; the more lessons the Holy Spirit teaches us. One of these powerful lessons is the fact that not everyone who claims to speak for God truly has God’s heart.

Regardless of what titles someone may claim, you must watch their fruits and assess their message against God’s Word. No matter who they are, if their words or instructions contradict God’s word, it was not inspired by God.

The old prophet lied to the young prophet, claiming the angel of the Lord told him to bring him to the house, and this was against God’s instruction. The young prophet believed and obeyed.

Today, some people who claim to speak for God used to be God’s vessels, and they are now using the clout of past glory to intimidate and mislead. Be discerning.

Today’s Prophetic Declaration:

I declare that my yielding to the Holy Spirit is better every day, and I will not be misled in my walk with God.
