Today’s Word: The Old and the New (Part 9)

Bible Reference: 1 Kings 13:1-30.

Upon careful examination of our Bible reference, we can see that the old prophet employed two tactics to deceive the young prophet. He used his identity as a prophet (he said, I am a prophet too), and then, he claimed to have a fresh revelation from God. The young prophet was deceived by these two things.

Dear friend, God will never suggest anything evil, so whoever comes in the name of the Lord to contradict God’s position, know they are not from him.

God is consistent in His ways. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Whatever contradicts His word does not have His approval. He will never instruct or inspire what will dishonour Him. Let this truth guide your life. Stay alert to the voice of His Spirit.
