Topic: THE PROFIT OF OBEDIENCE (Part 2).

More than once, God will require certain things from you; He may ask you to do or stop doing things you appear to struggle with. He may direct you to respond in a specific manner or require you to give up something. No matter the instruction, when God gives it, it is to bless and lift us. Those who follow God’s instructions always stand out and stand tall.

Through his obedience to God, Abraham distinguished himself in his generation. He received some unusual instructions from God and didn’t wait to make sense of them before obeying.

When you obey the word of God, you will always rejoice in the end. Many times, God’s instructions may not make sense according to our human reasoning, but if we follow them, we will see God’s power working in our favour.

Whatever God asks of you, he is not trying to take advantage of you. Our obedience does not profit God; He is God, the creator of heaven and earth. Our obedience to God’s counsel and instruction benefits and advances us.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Father Lord, help me to walk in total obedience to Christ. Please help me not to disobey you, no matter how hard it is.
