Topic: THE SPIRIT BEARS WITNESS

Text: “The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” – Romans 8:16

When we give our lives to Christ, the Spirit of God bears witness with our Spirit that we are indeed sons of God. 

Everyone who has received the Holy Spirit has no reason to doubt their salvation or place in heaven. You are God’s child and a citizen of heaven.

The Bible says in Romans 8:16 TPT, “For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he

whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!”

The Easy Bible version of Romans 8:16 says: “God’s Spirit himself causes us to know that we are God’s children. God’s Spirit and our spirits agree that this is true.”

Here’s God’s word to us today: Nobody should make you feel like God’s stepchild or a disadvantaged child of God. God loves you, and the spirit of God within you seals your sonship.

Today’s task:

Take some time just to fellowship with the Holy Spirit; we know Him better through fellowship.

Recognize that you cannot do anything right as a Christian without the help of the Spirit.
