Today’s Word: The Unprofitable Servant (Part 4)

Today’s Bible Reference: John 15:9 (NLT) – “I have loved you as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.”

 

We demonstrate our love for God by making him the most important person in our lives. Spending time with God and growing in our love for him is a proven way to ‘abide’ in him.  

If we do not ‘abide’ in Christ, intentionally seeking to please and honour God in what we do, we will be unfruitful or unprofitable according to His will for our lives. 

The heart with which we serve God is the true source of our profit, not just what we do in his kingdom.

No matter what we desire to do for God, it must be done from a place of love for God. If not, we will be ‘noise makers’ or ‘empty gongs’ like Paul says in 1Corintians 13:1.

Dear friend, I want you to ask yourself, are you serving God for what you can receive or from a place of reckless love for Him? Love for God is the foundation of a profitable kingdom servant. 

Today’s Prophetic Declaration:

In the name of Jesus, today, I declare that my heart is empowered to do everything out of love.
