Today’s Word: The Unprofitable Servant (Part 5)

Today’s Bible Reference: Matthew 21:34 – NLT “At the time of grape harvest, he sent his servants to collect his share of the crop”.

Jesus spoke about a farmer who owned a vineyard. The workers humiliated the servants sent to collect profit at harvest time and killed the owner’s Son so they could keep the vineyard for themselves.

Some believers are doing the same today. God gave you life and blessed you with a job, skills, and resources that can be useful in service to God’s kingdom, but due to our selfishness or offence, we refuse to serve God with all our heart and strength.

Many people pray, read their Bible or attend church services only when it is convenient for them. Some believers struggle to talk about Jesus or win a soul to Christ. For a whole year, not one person has heard about Jesus directly from you.

When Jesus, our master, comes for his ‘harvest’ in your life, are you going to give him the ‘fruit’ of your time, or are you too busy for God? Have you become too busy with everything except bringing profits to God’s kingdom?

Some people have stopped serving in churches because they became spiritually lazy or offended by one thing or the other. These people have denied the master his profit. Let us repent now and become fruitful Christians in God’s kingdom.

Today’s Prophetic Declaration:

My Father, today, I receive grace for a fresh chapter and to be fruitful in your kingdom in Jesus’ name.
