Topic: THE WALL AROUND US (Part 10)

Text: “Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the consequences.” – Proverbs 18:21, TPT.

One of the vital lessons that must guide a believer’s life is the understanding that our words are powerful and hold spiritual significance. Everyone who is a person of the Spirit cannot be careless with their words. We cannot afford to speak carelessly, because our words are either building or destroying something. Our words must be golden and intentional. 

A key force that can compromise the wall around us is the kind of words we speak.

We must deliberately focus on scriptures that will guide and condition our hearts to always speak God’s word. For example, no matter what is up against you, instead of speaking helplessness, declare Psalms 121:7, “For the Lord shall preserve me from all evil, and he shall preserve my soul.”

No matter what anyone is complaining about, boldly declare Psalms 46:1, “God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in my time of trouble.”

Dear friends, be intentional about the words that proceed from your mouth. Never let pressure or situations make you go out of character. There is a wall around you; stay with this understanding always.

Take some time to meditate on Psalms 91:2.
