Topic: THE WAY OF THE BELIEVER (Part 5)

Text: God has given each of you a gift from his variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” – 1 Peter 4:10, NLT.

Every child of God is blessed with gifts. God has placed something in each of us, and as we focus on him, the gifts continue to blossom.

Our difference lies in what we have received from the Lord. Indeed, God’s giftings to each of us make us different and unique from one another. Our difference is in our gifting, and we know this is from God. Everything we have comes from God.

No matter how hard we believe we worked for it, we must acknowledge that we have it because God allowed it and because of his grace. This is the right thinking every child of God must have. We cannot boast of what we have as if we didn’t receive it from God. God’s word reminds us in 1 Corinthians 4:7 that there is nothing we have that we did not receive.

If the people of the world refuse to recognize the giver of good things, we must not become like them.

Every achievement or height we reach is because of God’s grace and mercy. Therefore, it would be wrong to boast about anything we have as if we didn’t receive it from God.

Again, this is the correct thinking every Christian must have. Recognize, acknowledge and appreciate the one from whose hands you have all that you hold today.

Take some time to meditate on God’s word in Psalms 34:1-2.
