TOPIC: THE YIELDED VESSEL IN GOD’S HAND (Part 3)

Bible text: “The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully on you, and you will prophesy with them, and you will be changed into a different person.” – 1 Samuel 10:6.

Today’s bible passage in 1 Samuel 10 is a narrative of the detailed prophecy of Samuel and the empowerment of Saul as the new king of Israel. Saul’s meeting with Samuel was used to elaborate step-by-step events that would confirm his choice by God. Such a detailed description could only come from one assured that this is God’s program.

One key lesson we discover from this story is that whoever will be God’s instrument will need to become a new person. Samuel’s prophecy revealed how Saul would become a changed individual prepared to be used for God’s purpose.

Dear friend, God is still searching for people to carry out His assignments. However, anyone who desires to carry out God’s desire in any place or generation must be willing to go through every level of preparation required to fit into such work. This process might be sometimes painful, but it will certainly be worth it. God has a specific assignment for you. You need to submit yourself and be obedient to His call. It will get better and clearer every day.

When you surrender your will to God, you discover the resources to do what God requires.
