Topic: THINGS OF GREATER VALUE (Part 2)

Text: “Where you deposit your treasure, that is where you fix your thoughts – and your heart will long to be there also.” – Luke 12:34, TPT.

The first step to success in anything is to understand what is more important so you don’t waste time and other resources on things that are not important. Many people could start living better lives if they could identify the more important things and devote more time to them. Allowing the unimportant to displace the important is a major threat to our desire to live meaningful lives. The truth is that just because something is urgent does not mean it is important.

Many people do not live meaningful and extraordinary lives because they do not know what is more important to their lives and aspirations, and they relegate what should be given greater and significant attention to things of lesser value. Some people are also not taken seriously by those who should be assisting and supporting them because it appears they do not know what is more important to them.

One major challenge we must overcome is our inability to identify and prioritize what is necessary. You must also be careful not to let the priorities of others influence your own; you need to know what is more important to you in order to manage your time better and reduce stress. Some people appear to live at incredible speeds because they are able to sort out their priorities and live with a productive focus.

Dear friend, your life will be significantly simplified when you set your priorities right. Nobody has a perfect life; people simply choose their priorities every day. When you put your priorities correctly, good things happen, and this is something to pray about because, without the help of the Holy Spirit in all things, your flesh will fail you.

Lord Jesus, by your wisdom, help me to distinguish between the things of lesser and greater value.
