Topic: THINGS OF GREATER VALUE (Part 7)

Text: “There is a right time for everything. Everything on earth has its special season.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1, ICB.

The first step to success is knowing your priorities. Everyone has the same amount of time in the day; what truly matters is how we prioritize our time. Nobody is overly busy in this world; it’s all about priorities. You will always make time for the things that are important to you. You must consciously and wisely determine and focus on your priorities.

In the words of Stephen Covey, “You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage to say ‘no’ to other things. And the way you do that is by having a bigger ‘yes’ burning inside you. For the enemy of the ‘best’ is often the ‘good’”.

Dear friend, if you are not careful with how you say ‘yes’ to many things, you may find yourself saying ‘no’ to some important things without even realizing it.

There is a Russian proverb that says. “If you chase two rabbits, chances are you will catch none.”

I want to remind you that you won’t be here forever, so you need to pay attention to the things that really matter.

Time is your greatest resource, but it is also a limited resource and must be used wisely on things that count. This is why you could very well fail if you put things that don’t matter or aren’t as important first instead of things that do. When you put things in the right order, good things happen. 

Always remember that priority is something that is very important and must be addressed before other things.

In order to say yes to your priorities, you must be willing to say no to something else.
