TOPIC: TRUST IN HIS FAITHFULNESS (Part 4)

TEXT: “Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.” – Deuteronomy 7:9, NLT.

I believe one of the most inconsiderate statements any Christian would make is to say they are all alone and doing things all by themselves because this is not the truth.

When we are going through hard times or are under a lot of pressure, we may be tempted to do or say something out of our pain. However, we must be careful not to downplay the grace of God. We are who we are because of God’s grace, and we must never allow anything to make us shy away from this. Never ignore the presence of God’s grace in your life.

Regardless of your circumstances, one of the most remarkable disciplines you can cultivate is the ability to trust God and always believe Him because He is faithful. He is the friend that sticks closer than a brother. It is his nature to be faithful. Scripture describes him as the one with whom there is no shadow of turning and no variableness in him. He is faithful to us.

Even when we are unfaithful to his Word, he doesn’t allow our unfaithfulness to negatively influence his faithfulness. Our God is faithful regardless of us. He loves us back till we become faithful, and even in our ignorance and arrogance, he still loves us.

Dear friend, understanding God’s faithfulness keeps you confident and joyful even when unexpected things happen. You can trust what he says because you know how reliable he is. When you really know God, trusting him in all things and seasons becomes effortless. Our God is forever faithful to us.
