Today’s Word: Understanding Worship (Part 2)
Today’s Bible Reference: Romans 12:1, TPT – “Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvellous mercies? To surrender yourselves to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.”
Worship is the conscious natural reaction of the person who has accepted Jesus as Lord and experienced his love and mercy. God loved us so much that he sent his son to die for us, to take away our sins and reunite us with God the Father.
It is only right to give our lives back to him as a sacrifice of worship. Worship is more than a song; it is a lifetime of service to God. Worship is honouring God, loving Him in our hearts, and serving Him with our lives.
We cannot claim to worship and live for ourselves, doing things as we please. Are you a worshipper with your life, or are you merely paying lip service?
Today’s Prophetic Declaration:
Lord, thank you for your unconditional love for me. I experience this love every time I am down or overwhelmed, in Jesus’ name.
