Topic: Who Are You? (Part 5)

Text: “One day the evil spirit answered them, Jesus I know and Paul I know about, but who are you?” – Acts 19:15, NIV.

According to our bible text, some fellows went to challenge a demon-possessed person in the name of Jesus, yet they were strangers to God. These guys had no relationship with God but wanted to use the name of the Lord to achieve an aim. Their words lacked power because they had no relationship with God.

Our relationship with God gives us the strength and confidence to speak out against the enemy and challenges. There is such an authority that those who have a walk with God commands. Because these guys lacked a relationship with the God whose name they wanted to exploit, they experienced shame.

Those who know their God are strong and do exploits. We need to do more than go to church. We need to desire to know God and surrender our lives to him.

Simply attending church services does not mean you have surrendered to God. However, living for God daily, honouring His word and embracing his leadership confirms that He truly owns you.
