Topic: WHO ARE YOU? (Part 7)

Text: “One day the evil spirit answered them, Jesus I know and Paul I know about, but who are you?” – Acts 19:15, NIV.

In our world today, people are faced with all sorts of challenges, and there is a need for hope. This is a key reason why many run to church: to receive and sustain hope, and many others want to experience a miracle or some sort of divine intervention.

However, it is important to note that as we come to God for his help, we should know that he wants to know him and to make him known. He wants us to know his love, wisdom, direction, and so much more.

As we know God, hope is awakened and sustained in us, and we will gradually see the manifestations of his help in various aspects of our lives.

The sons of the Sceva would have had a different outcome if they had sought to know God first before attempting to exploit his name for selfish benefits. The problem they were trying to address resisted them because they lacked interest in knowing God.

This is a lesson for every Christian; we may keep facing certain forms of resistance until we submit ourselves to know God and Him better every day.
