Topic: WHO WILL GO FOR US? (Part 1)

Text: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, here am I. Send me!” – Isaiah 6: 8, NIV.

In Isaiah chapters 1-5, we read of a prophet delivering messages he had heard from God. In chapter 6, Isaiah saw God and caught a revelation of his inadequacy and God’s glory.

This makes him repent, and a coal of fire is placed in his mouth to purify him and remove his guilt.

At that point, he could hear God saying, whom shall I send? Isaiah had been delivering God’s messages, yet God was still looking for who to send even though Isaiah was there.

The Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30: “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not destroy it, but I found no one.” 

You may be born again, actively serving in your local church and possibly hearing from God, but God is calling you to something more profound, to a specific assignment he has for you. All you need to say is, “Here am I, send me”.

Study and meditate on our text today. Read the preceding verses, Isaiah 6:1-8

Wisdom push:

No matter how available and active you may be in God’s service, God is calling you to a deeper and more significant assignment.

In the name of Jesus, my walk with God is like the first gleam of dawn. It keeps getting brighter and better every day.
