Topic: WHY CHARACTER IS NECESSARY (Part 10)

Text: “Then you will live the kind of life that honors and pleases the Lord in every way. You will produce fruit in every good work and grow in the knowledge of God.” – Colossians 1:10, ICB.

As we study the scriptures, we are inspired by the lives and testimonies of several heroes of faith who shone God’s light in their days. However, these people allowed God to rule over their lives and consequently became shining examples of the beauty that God can make any yielded life become.

One example worth mentioning is Daniel. While he was carried off to Babylon by the Assyrians, he served various kings for about seventy years. In the regime of four different kings, Daniel was retained by all. He was a man of sound and dependable character.

How strong a person is in character determines how long they will last in relevance. No matter the talent, skills or other abilities a person may boast of, the most important element for fulfilling destiny is excellence in character. This excellence in character can become the testimony of anyone who yields themselves to the authority, counsel, and government of the Holy Spirit.

It is impossible to have a weak character and end up with an outstanding future.

All through today, I will not be a victim of the foolishness of the flesh. The wisdom of God’s spirit is guiding me in all things.
