Topic: WHY CHARACTER IS NECESSARY (Part 6)

Text: “Then you will live the kind of life that honors and pleases the Lord in every way. You will produce fruit in every good work and grow in the knowledge of God.” – Colossians 1:10, ICB.

As we study the scriptures, we are told of an exceptional character who had a great destiny and was anointed by God to do great things in his generation. However, this man neither fulfilled his destiny nor did he end well. We are talking about Samson.

A major tragedy in the story of Samson was his lack of character. While he had a great destiny to fulfil, he lacked the character to fulfil destiny and manage the demands of greatness. Many people face this today; while they have a great destiny to fulfil and great prophetic words over their lives, they are weak in character.

The negative possibilities of the weakness in your character are stronger than any external enemy against you. Daily, we must ask the Holy Spirit to work on our character and help us manifest only fruits that testify of our union with him.
