Topic: WHY CHARACTER IS NECESSARY (Part 7)

Text: “Brothers, now I have some other things to tell you. We taught you how to live in a way that will please God. And you are living that way. Now we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus to live that way more and more.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:1, ICB.

For every child of God, our Father wants to proudly showcase us to the world and for others to see our lives and pattern their lives after us as we align with God’s will. God also wants us to say to others, as Apostle Paul said to Timothy, “Follow me as I follow Christ”. (1 Corinthians 11:1).

The Lord wants us to be true ambassadors of the kingdom everywhere we find ourselves, in speech, lifestyle and every other area. He said in Matthew 5 that he wants others to see our good works and glorify his name. We must begin to live with the consciousness that we are representatives of Jesus.

Dear friend, representatives of Jesus Christ should not be thieves, liars, immoral people, or deceitful, and they must not be captives of the works of the flesh. It is possible to become great and flawless representatives of Christ. We must strive for this every day as we yield ourselves wholly to the making of the Holy Spirit.

As we surrender to the spirit, he will begin to birth his fruits in our lives. Everything lies in our total surrender to the Holy Spirit.
