Today’s Word: Why We Worship (Part 2)
Today’s Bible Reference: Romans 12:1, TPT – “Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvellous mercies? To surrender yourselves to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.”
The last part of today’s text says, “Live in holiness, experiencing all that delights in his heart. This becomes your genuine expression of worship.”
Holiness is a genuine expression of worship. We should live our lives as worship to God, not just sing songs or offer prayers and words as expressions of our worship.
True worship is pouring out our lives to God, in other words, living for him; doing things that please him only and not men. This is a private, intimate sacrifice that only God can receive, and it is one he enjoys the most.
May God grant you grace as you choose to live a consecrated life from today, as a form of worship.
Today’s Prophetic Declaration:
Lord, I dedicate my life to you today. May my actions please you beyond the words of any song.
