Today’s Word: Why We Worship (Part 3)
Today’s Bible Reference: John 4:23-24, TPT – “From now on, worshipping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with a right heart. For God is a spirit and he longs to have sincere worshippers who adore him in the realm of the spirit and in the truth.”
Many churches today are referred to as ‘places of worship’, but it is not only in a church building that we are meant to worship God; we can do so anywhere and at any time.
Some are physically present in a church service, or in a church building, who are not worshipping God; there may even be so-called ‘worship leaders’ and singers who are performing an activity or display, but are not worshipping God.
Like our text today says, God longs to have sincere worshippers who adore him in the realm of the spirit. Worship is more than the location or activity; there must be a heartfelt connection between our spirit and the one we claim to worship.
Receive grace to worship God in the spirit and truth today.
Today’s Prophetic Declaration:
I declare that my heart is true, and my spirit is aligned with God’s spirit. I declare that I worship God in spirit and truth today.
