Topic: WINNING OVER ANXIETY (Part 1)

Text: “Do not worry about anything. But pray and ask God for everything you need…” – Philippians 4:6, ICB.

 

Anxiety is a big issue, and it is an epidemic that believers must not be ignorant of. Some believers are battling with anxiety disorders but are either powerless about it or are not seeking meaningful help or counsel, and there are those the devil has made to believe they cannot get better.

So, you have people who are living with anxiety disorders, and they have adjusted their lives to it. This is not the will of God for us. It is important to state that there is the sin of anxiety, and there is a mental health disorder of anxiety.

With the sin of anxiety, it is when we refuse to allow God to be in charge of our lives, and we begin to obsess ourselves with issues that only God can fix.

So, anxiety is both a mental health issue and a spiritual issue, and either of these manifests in various forms.

However, what is most important is to note that there is help from God for anxiety or any other challenge. We must be careful not to assume that there are certain things that God cannot help us win over; with our God, all things are possible.

Remember that God can fix all things today and receive his help by faith in Jesus’ name.
