Topic: WINNING OVER THE LIES OF THE AGE  (Part 1)

Text: “Do not be shaped by this world. Instead, be changed within by a new way of thinking.” – Romans 12:2, ICB.

 

While we are in the world, we must be mindful that we are not supposed to live by the standards and philosophies suggested by the systems of this world. The word of God guides us on what our standards must be.

God’s word tells us in Romans 12:2 not to allow ourselves to be shaped by the systems of this world. Instead, we must be changed within by a new way of thinking; only then will we be able to know what God wants for us, and we will be able to know what is good and pleasing to God.

As we interface with others, we will encounter ideologies and perspectives which are against the word of God. We must be sensitive to identify them and refuse to adopt them. More so, we must discipline ourselves to judge in the light of the scriptures.

When we seek and respond to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will not be swayed by the limiting belief system of the world.
