Today’s Word: WISDOM TO SHOW KINDNESS TO OTHERS

Today’s Bible Reference: Ephesians 4:32, ICB – “Be kind and loving to each other. Forgive each other just as God forgave you in Christ.”

As we go about our daily lives, we are exposed to various aspects of human nature, such as selfishness, dishonesty, greed, and so on.

No matter what we experience from others, we must keep reminding ourselves that, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can be kind and selfless to others.

There are many things the Lord expects of us that we will continue to struggle with if we don’t yield to the help of the Holy Spirit.

Without submitting to the help of the Holy Spirit, we would face situations that will cause us to be hurt, discouraged, and even tired of caring for others.

Only when we reach the end of ourselves and begin to rely on the Holy Spirit can we fully exhibit kindness. Godly kindness is a fruit of the Holy Spirit in the life of a regenerated believer.

We cannot sustain kindness on our own. Jesus Christ says something remarkable in John 15:5 ICB, “If a person remains in me and I remain in him, then he produces much fruit. But without me, he can do nothing.” With the help of God’s Spirit, we can overcome selfishness.

Here are some ways we demonstrate kindness to others: by praying sincerely for them, encouraging and exhorting others, being loving and gentle with our words, and many more.

The Lord wants us to keep being kind to others, and He will continue to help us to maintain this righteous attribute as long as we submit to the Holy Spirit.

In the name of Jesus, from today, I will begin to do things that will make my generation better, to God’s glory.
